"The Most Important Number You Don't Know"
Zinzino in the News
The Global Organization for
EPA and DHA Omega-3s (GOED):
"There are more than 50,000 published studies on EPA and DHA, including more than 5,000 human clinical trials. The vast body of science associated with omega-3s supports consumption for overall wellness, including heart, brain, eye, and prenatal/maternal health." [1]
Prescription omega-3 fatty acids (such as Vascepa or Lovaza) are FDA-approved, high-potency, fish oil derivatives used to treat severe hypertriglyceridemia (500 mg/dL). Unlike supplements, these require a prescription to significantly lower triglycerides and reduce cardiovascular risk.
Incredible Potential Health Benefits
The website VeryWell Health, says, "Omega-3 fatty acids are thought to offer many health benefits, including:
- Reducing triglycerides
- Increasing “good” HDL cholesterol levels
- Decreasing the risk of atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries)
- Preventing blood clots
- Reducing inflammation"
"Unlike their [Over-the-counter] OTC counterparts, prescription fish oil supplements are formulated to deliver high concentrations of DHA and EPA. Moreover, these compounds are delivered at doses proven to reduce triglyceride levels based on rigorous clinical trials overseen by the FDA."
"Research suggests that prescription formulas with higher levels of fatty acids called eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) can help to lower triglycerides (a blood lipid), prevent heart attack, and more."
"With DHA, you need to take around 600 milligrams (mg) per day to achieve a 20% drop in triglycerides. Lesser doses do little to alter triglyceride levels. OTC supplements only deliver 120 mg to 180 mg of DHA per dose (and perhaps less because supplements in the United States are not strictly regulated)."
OTC Effectiveness?
"The amount of DHA and EPA contained in any of the OTC supplements falls well short of the 'heart-healthy' claims made by manufacturers."
"OTC and prescription fish oil supplements contain more or less the same ingredients. But prescription supplements like Lovaza and Vascepa contain higher amounts of compounds DHA and EPA, known to promote heart health. ... Research has shown that the benefits of DHA and EPA are dose-dependent, meaning that better results are received at higher doses. And, until you reach a certain threshold, you may get no benefit at all."
Potential Side Effects?
"Large amounts of OTC supplements can add up to a prescription dose but would likely increase the risk of side effects." And what are the side effects? "The most common side effects are burping, indigestion, and altered taste."
Safe Amount?
"Common [Prescription] Dosage: Typically 4 grams daily, often taken as four 1-gram capsules or two 2-gram capsules once or twice daily."
Most importantly, "studies suggest that doses of up to 10,000 mg [10g, which our dosage is nowhere near] per day may be safe for short-term use with no significant impact on blood clotting." [2]

“It’s been a year since I decided to invest in my health and I am very happy with the results. The Omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA in BalanceOil+ help me maintain normal brain, heart and immune functions. The different dietary fibers in ZinoBiotic+ keep my gut healthy, and the natural ingredients in Xtend+ help give me more energy and healthy bones.”

“I started taking BalanceOil+ in late October 2024, and at that time, my BalanceTest result showed an Omega-6:3 ratio of 11:1. In February 2025, my BalanceTest result changed to 6:1. This result has given me so much confidence in these products, and I am excited to recommend them to my friends!”

“The first BalanceTest gave a shocking result of 58:1. After a year of use of BalanceOil, I was pleased to see positive changes. In the second test, I achieved an encouraging result of 5:1. I have been using this premium product for some time now. The third test is coming up soon and I am confident that my progress will continue.”
